About Haven dog rescue

At Haven Dog Rescue, we are a passionate, volunteer-run organization dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs. Based in Roseville, CA, and serving the Greater Sacramento area, we are committed to giving these dogs a second chance at a happy life. While we do not have a physical facility, our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes where they receive the individual attention and care they need.

As a foster-based rescue, we are always in need of new foster homes to provide a safe space for dogs in transition. Our dogs are fully vetted, and we take pride in being able to share detailed information about their personalities, behaviors, likes, and dislikes with potential adopters. This helps ensure that the right dog finds the right home.

We rely on adoption fees (typically between $300 and $350, with a reduced fee for senior dogs) and the generosity of our supporters to fund our efforts. As a completely volunteer-based organization, none of us are paid—we all have day jobs—but we are driven by a deep love for dogs and a commitment to giving them the best chance possible. Your donations help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and other expenses, allowing us to continue providing the care and attention our dogs need.
