Introduction to OUR Volunteers.
I wanted to take a few minutes to say thanks to all of the folks who come out and lend a hand. These people are the backbone of this Rescue and they are the reason these dogs can be adopted.
I hope you all realize how vital you are the dogs and the organization as a whole. You have also helped me reconnect with people and I think the group as a whole are a exceptional team . Thank You
Linda Bell, fosters a lot of our larger dogs and without her we couldn’t take any of the big guys. The are often in care the longest and they need the most work. Linda also helps with the admin duties and financials, and she makes a lot of things happen without anyone really knowing about it.
Linda Hay, she’s the little old ladies foster, and she makes frequent trips to the store to buy treats for the dogs and the volunteers and she does a whole lot of nice things for people that I never remember to do. She also makes the freedom rides happen and she carefuly places her fosters in only the very best homes.
Jaimi and Greg have recently come back to fostering and we all agree, Jaimi has the patience of a saint and the willingness to work relentlessly with the dogs she fosters until they are ready to go to their new homes. She’s turned many of the most terrified animals into family pets. She also has medical skills that are an amazing asset to us when we have dogs that need medical care.
Rusty aka Paula the dog trainer offered her services and often shows up for our evets and she has become famous amongst our adopters, Thanks Rusty fr your never ending patience.
James Bradbrook is an original member of the team and he has fostered and adopted from us. He has worn many hats, but he prefers nowadays to do freedom rides for the incoming dogs.
James and Mason Reilly have served as regular landscape guys to help us stay on top of the yard and work on some of the projects that need to be done to keep the dogs safe from injury from foxtails etc. They have been doing this for the last two years and I think they deserve much credit for all they have done to help us.
JT aka John Turner, The main person who helps me maintain the home, is always working on something here for us. When I move into this house there was a river running through the garage, He built new drains, poured concrete, installed water softeners, a laundry room and is currently doing irrigation in the front. The back was recently completed.
We do have other folks too who help us less regularly and we are always asking for help. The only requirement is you need to want to help dogs. Shauna and Keith, Simonne recently joined us as a foster and she is exceptional with the dogs and has a giant heart. The Reed family, we really miss them…. Craig and Clinton, Susan Ando the staff at all of the shelters we work with….. I’m sure I’ve missed some folks, please realize this is because I’m forgetful and distractible, and I’m sorry in advance …………. it’s an on going thread.
